Hello fella SYDs, gonna post some crap talk here. Forgive the jobless man lar hor...
Anyway, I'm so free I browsed quite some galleries of the new members already, and I must say we really have a talented batch this year. How talented? Let's just say I'm relieved I joined a year ago, else I may not have as much opportunities haha. Now I can only hope everyone can commit to this society frequently. Trust me, the experience one can gain here is hard to find elsewhere.
I understand that lessons have been boring so far. Qiangmai shoots also have a lot of problems. Really feel sorry for some who have rushed down just to realise the models are really really late. Even throughout the shoot, we have been pretty indulged in shooting to actually entertain uall. Have to thank my many BIPODS for assisting the shoot. Hope you've gained something from observing. Ask questions when in doubt... really... we will be glad to answer them.
There should be some more shoots to come, and we are in the midst of working out a way so that everyone can take part. If you have suggestions, bring them up. There is always room for discussion.
As for my group members, we are almost done with our part on organising sessions for this semi-quarter year (go work out the fractions). We will be shifting focus to POPLENS, which are essentially photo stories to be eventually published in Zaobao. Do brainstorm for themes, and we will submit them for approval. Could be anything under the sun, but preferably something more significant and have a story to tell... 毕竟 we are onto photojournalism, not a random trigger happy photo enthusiast.
So much for the crap. Happy shooting... and good luck for those vying for SYPA =)
