Hi everyone,
It's finally holidays for everyone and we will be going for an outing this sat! Details are as follows:
Date: 6th December 2008
Venue: Marina Barrage
Time: 5pm (meet 5pm @ marina bay MRT - we aim to catch shutter bus at 5.10pm, so no rubber timers please!)
Time end: 7.00 - 7.30pm (if you have to leave early, just let us know)
This is a casual walkabout. The main aim for this outing is for group bonding and interaction, it doesn't matter much if your camera is spoilt/don't have a camera at present, so long as your interest in SYD/photography is still there. However, being SYD, our activities will still be centered on photography.
As you know, the barrage is quite a piece of architecture, so it will naturally be our main subject. Techniques you can learn and apply include composition skills, use of various GND/Polariser filters, as well as how to shoot a HDR picture. (processing we will leave it for the chalet). We may also introduce some outdoor strobing techniques at the grass-patches on the roof. Do bring along a tripod if you intend to shoot the twilight pictures.
Please reply to this email, EVEN IF YOU CAN'T ATTEND, so i know that you have at least read this email.
As a gentle reminder, members who are attending the internal camp on 21-24th dec will have to pay $15. I will be collecting the money during the gathering.
Hope to see you all this weekend!
Regards,
Wangwei
