Hi, in case u wonder, i do know wat a blog is... =)
For those who helped out for Ying Xin...
Anyway, i guess WW makes it clear. It was to the extend that i requested the newbies to shoot. Some asked me, then i told them cos they looked bored, wanna see their skills too. But actually, i am afraid that there is not enough photos. They too give me crap, but it's okie, cos they dunno wat we want yet. Will focus on that for training.
Maybe i am not a good leader for work. i am sure for games and to talk purely nonsense or heart-felt matters, i am a much better choice than WW. But when it comes to serious work, i lost my ability to influence... For those who shot, how many times did i tell u not to sit at one corner, that i remind u that it is ur turn to shoot, that in the middle of the event i walk to u and tell u that what i need u to cover? i guessed it's because i am not fierce enough... Which do u all prefer? The way i talk to the newbies for their performances or e way i talk to u. If u stil dunno me, i will keep reminding, saying but not check on ur work, for i would wanna respect u as an individual, able to produce wat u r called to do. And of cos, when such things happens,we will shelter u all from the direct scolding from the top. But we dun like to carry black pots too... Ur choice, treat u as a kid or respect u?
To clarify things, this yr, the outdoor shoot is really not as interesting. WW, wat u describe didnt happen. The outdoor where the words r are really empty to shoot altogether. And the interview ppl at weird corners, and it's like 3 reporters to a few ppl (cos a sch came, so many ppl). Veri chaotic. For ur side, i guess it's so too. i see more horses than ppl for slideshow. And for talks, i wasnt there except one. saw some pic, not representative. Not sure why the oldies since dunno where to stand/sit/squat. Games are not photos friendly. Far away stations, cant use one as a background for the other. And they are at some ulu corners, restricting our movements. And games like newsroom, i did tell them that e pic i wan from the oldies r abt e games and for ewbies, abt the scenes. They came back with similar photos.
Guess Wan Hui was the most disappointing one. i remember last time under Haze, i wanna shoot, but he stopped me. He told me that only 3 ppl r allowed to shoot. Wow! Now, totally opposite. i kept looking for u ppl to ask u all to cover certain areas, dun camp tgt until WW asked to sit down and enjoy, let u all run the show. =) Ppl, we trusted u.
As Ying Xin is under my charge, i would not want to point fingers. WW, sorry for the frustration u faced, got more questions, arrow to me. But next time, if it's individual assignment, pls, be a responsible photographer k? =)
